At the end of the day we all know a bad review is more common then a great review... Let me tell you about my experience at Armstead's ..I have been bringing all my vehicles here for over 4 years now! Not ONCE have I even looked back after changing from another local repair shop in Holly!!!! This is a TRUE family owned & operated business and it really shows! John Armstead has his family working along side him and his team and they are second to none! I know in saying this I have years of working with them... but it's really nice to say you can walk in and Jarred & John (Service Writers) great you the second you walk in and take the time to talk with you and see how you are doing (and they put up with my frequent calling about my ancient car that I want to last forever)!!!!! I was there last week and I was talking to John Armstead about the interesting old invoices framed on the wall and we had a 20 minute chat about his progression working his way up to self employment with his own establishment and where his previous locations in town, and how the city evolved over time. I learned some cool local facts about Holly and more about his business... and that's saying something about a company! It's HIS business not just a job... he loves what he does and cares about his team and his customers because John understands that it's integrity that got him where he is today, not gimmicks or specials.... Just good ol' elbow grease and a work ethic that you do not find in other shops or Chain repair places. Never once have I felt they were " taking me to the cleaners "! They make sound recommendations about where my vehicles are currently and what they need now Vs. Things to consider in the near and distant future... So I am not blindsided by big repair bills.... I can prepare and save up so it's not such a financial burden! I trust Jarred & John to give me a straight answer and I trust their opinions & recommendations on what my vehicles need and also what they don't! At the end of the day they take honesty & integrity above "the sale" and that's why I take the time to write reviews like this and explain what you should expect... and WILL experience when you walk in the door! Thanks John! Our customers are number one. John Armstead has made a great business for his customers to be treated like family. Doing a little spring cleaning and finding some old, very old invoices (his very first one) brings lots of memories on the journey of where we are today. John Armstead can remember that very first car like yesterday. We found customers that have been here from the very beginning, over 30 years! That tells you something right there. Armstead's is here to not only get you back on the road, but make sure you know more about your car when you leave. We love our customers and enjoy the chitchat when you come. We like to hear your input on how we are doing and how we can improve. My dad started as a gas pump boy and back then those guys were full service, topping of fluids and checking tire pressure. Just for gas! We are still full service! My dad values you and in turn taught us, his children what this business is about. It's about our customers, it's you, it's John C.
